Henry is 5 months old!

Likes: Sucking my left thumb, playing peek-a-boo, laughing and squealing, being nekkid, playing with the white tags on my exersaucer instead of the 83 toys on it, snorting through my nose like a bull when I'm frustrated, going for walks in the Baby Bjorn, and sleeping swaddle-free all the time now (Mama says 'hallelujah' to this one!).

Dislikes: Going to Target (Mama says 'doggone it' to this one), getting stuck on my tummy (I can only roll over in one direction), and riding in the car (still).

Growth: I weigh 17 lbs., 10 oz., and I am 28 inches tall. This puts me in the 75th percentile for weight and the 97th percentile for height. My exersaucer is already on the tallest setting, and my carseat only goes up to 30 inches, so I'm outgrowing more than just my clothes!

Up North at the Makris Cottage!

After a few days at the Longo Lakehouse, we drove to the Makris Cottage in Lewiston, Michigan. Henry experienced many more firsts while in Northern Michigan: first time meeting his Great Nonnie and Great Uncle Ira, first time feeling Fall in Michigan and 50 degree weather, first time on a golf course, first Makris family dance party, and first time stealing his cousin, Ella's, toy. I have a feeling she'll get him back one day.

We loved showing Henry another special place in Michigan and spending time with the Makris family! I'm sure once Henry is 3 and can hold a golf club, he (and Gus!) will enjoy it even more!

Great Lakes, Great Times at the Longo Lakehouse!

We had so much fun watching Henry enjoy his first trip to the Longo Lakehouse! I have so many fond memories of vacations spent there, and it's such a blessing to create more with my own son.

Henry enjoyed many "firsts" while visiting: first time meeting his Great Grandma Longo and Great Papa Longo, first time swimming in the pool, first time in the lake, first boat ride, and first time meeting his big, extended Italian family. Oh, and who could forget first time wearing seersucker pants?! After all, the boy is still southern.

Gus and I enjoyed plenty of rest and relaxation thanks to Papa, Mimi, and Zia Bella, who basically fought over holding him, feeding him, bathing him, and changing him. Needless to say, we got a break and Henry got a lot of attention! Also, thanks to Mimi for taking all of these beautiful photos!

Stay tuned for more from our Michigan adventure. Next up, Henry's first trip to the Makris Cottage!
