Peter is 2 months old!

Likes: Sleeping through the night (Mama says thank goodness!), smiling when anyone talks to me, sticking my tongue out, cooing, being held upright, tummy time, chilling in my bouncy seat or swing, taking baths, receiving attention from my brothers, and being swaddled.

Dislikes: Wearing bibs (thanks to my reflux), losing my paci when I'm trying to go to sleep, and being woken up prematurely by my loud brothers.

Growth: I weigh 13 lbs., 5 oz., and I am 23 and 3/4 inches long. This puts me in the 85th percentile for weight and the 85th percentile for height. I had a huge growth spurt this month! Between Henry, John, and me, I take the prize for chunkiest 2 month old baby. Who would have thought with all the spitting up that I do?!?

Henry's 4th Birthday

On Monday we celebrated Henry's birthday at school. He shared his favorite snacks - trail mix, yogurt, and melon. And he picked out a Cars cake from Publix (mainly for the toys that come on top of the cake). Henry's friends appreciated the cupcakes and plentiful frosting though.

On Tuesday we celebrated Henry's actual birthday. He woke up to Lightning McQueen streamers, balloons, and sprinkle/chocolate chip pancakes. Then I told Henry we were spending the day at Catch Air and Chipotle with his best friend, Colin, and he did a little birthday dance and jumped for joy.

Later that night Henry chose hotdogs and cucumbers for his birthday dinner, which was followed by chocolate ice cream with gummy worms, skittles, and sprinkles. The highlight of the night was opening presents - a Spiderman toy from John and the Cars movie from us. Henry has never watched a movie before, so when he opened the DVD, he asked us to read it to him. John went to bed, we started the movie, and Henry fixed his eyes to the screen. He made it just over an hour. Then he asked to go to bed. Happy birthday, dear boy.

Henry is 4 years old!

Likes: Going to school (my teachers say that math is my favorite), playing with anything that has wheels, wearing my cowboy boots, wrestling with Daddy and John, painting, reading Bob books all my myself, eating sprinkle pancakes, raspberries, crusty bread, vegetables, peanut butter, tacos, yogurt, and hotdog in a bun, racing, taking naps, going to the botanical gardens or Catch Air with my friends, helping Mama take care of Peter, making new friends at the park, playing superheros, following the rules (most of the time), watching Youtube videos about volcanos, and giving "big squeeze" hugs.

Dislikes: Being messy, losing, combing my hair, having my picture taken, getting dressed, John's refusal to play trains according to my direction, and sitting near someone who is eating something smelly (I inherited Mama's powerful sense of smell).

Growth: I weight 41 lbs. and I am 43 and 1/4 inches tall. This puts me in the 85th percentile for weight and off the charts for height. It should be no surprise that I am the tallest kid in my class!

We conducted Henry's four-year-old interview when Papou and Grandma were in town last weekend. What a fun tradition!

Easter Egg-stravaganza

The boys were busy during Holy Week. John attended an Easter party at playgroup. The balloon animals were fun until one popped. Then John walked around with his ears plugged. The Easter Bunny made an appearance and sent some kids into hysterics (I get it). But John couldn't have been happier to see him. Maybe Santa has a chance this year?

On Good Friday, we attended a MOPS Easter Egg Hunt at the park. It was really less of a hunt and more of a race. The boys had their game faces on. John managed to get a few eggs before the big kids took off. Henry got more than a dozen in his basket. And Peter even got one (with help from his Mama). It was like Halloween after we opened all the eggs.

On Easter Sunday, we dressed all three boys in their Sunday best and made it to church on time. We bribed the boys with the promise of Easter baskets if they were good during mass. Yes, there were new (fancy!) toothbrushes in their Easter baskets. But I did include a pack of Peeps too.  And Peter received some new bibs to spit up on (the joys of reflux).

Later that night, we enjoyed Easter dinner at the OK Cafe. It happened to be my 32nd birthday on Easter Sunday, so my birthday gift from Gus was a day of no diaper changes and no cooking. The boys chowed down on fried grit cakes, mac-n-cheese, and chocolate cake. I don't think they minded our down-home Easter dinner.
