A Very Longo Christmas

We kicked off the Longo Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve for our Italian Seafood Feast. Before dinner even began, the Christmas gifts started. Papa and Mimi's tree was exploding with gifts, so they gave each kid was given one present to open on Christmas Eve. I don't know who was more excited - the kids or Papa and Mimi! The night ended with our traditional Happy Birthday Jesus cake.

We had a belated Christmas celebration with the Longo family on the 26th, and our kids couldn't believe they were getting yet another Christmas morning. Frances had the gift thing down pat by now, so she had no problem tearing into her presents. The boys couldn't contain their excitement. They received everything on their wish lists - a marble run, laser tag, more legos, and more superheros. And Frances got the royal treatment with a princess castle, princess doll, princess dress, and princess shoes. We always enjoy a special breakfast after opening our gifts. When Mimi asked the kids what they wanted, they had two specific requests that they rarely get to enjoy: Lucky Charms and Orange Juice. So of course, Mimi made it happen. Later that night, we celebrated Christmas with the extended Longo family. There were even more gifts and even more Italian food. The night ended with a dance party where Zia, Mimi, Peter, and Frances showed off their best moves.
