Santa came to town!

I thought this would be the year. I thought our days of crying Santa photos were over. But Frances proved me wrong. After her short visit with him, she locked herself in her bedroom with Nanna. The boys took their time sharing their lists with Santa. Henry asked for a bathrobe. John asked for too much (his list was two pages long). And Peter asked for a hug. Santa said his goodbyes, and then Frances started crying all over again - "Santa left? Where are my presents? My baby doll not here!"

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Makris family! Yes, I decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving this year. But I had to make up for last year and our little Charlie Brown tree in the apartment.

Later in the morning, we headed down to Aunt Mary and Uncle Bobby's house for Thanksgiving dinner with our Georgia family. Peter quickly attached himself to Aunt Mary, and Frances attached herself to Nanna. As usual, Henry ate the most vegetables during Thanksgiving dinner.  Peter was the only one who ate the turkey. And Frances and John stuck to chicken nuggets and mac-n-cheese. After dinner, the kids enjoyed their candy turkeys from Nanna, and played twister with Cousin Reagan.

A Wedding Weekend in Boca Grande

Best wishes and many congratulations to our friends, Mr. and Mrs. Prasad Phatak! We had the best time in Boca Grande, Florida at The Gasparilla Inn for their multi-day, multi-cultural celebration. And many thanks to Mimi and Papa for babysitting (and surviving) for four days!

Teddy Roosevelt

John was Teddy Roosevelt in the first grade wax museum today. This kid looks great in a mustache. And he really got into his character. He spoke softly and carried a big stick.
