Happy Fall Y'all!

On Saturday we took a drive through the country to the pumpkin patch. Under blue skies, we took a tractor-drawn hayride and met a few farm animals, and then we enjoyed homemade chocolate ice cream. Then the boys took their time choosing their pumpkins. Henry insisted that his not be too heavy. John, on the other hand, tried to pick up pumpkins twice his size. We went home with three pumpkins for our three boys. All the activity wore out the boys, so much so that John decided to start his nap before he made it to his crib.

Pink or Blue?

We find out the sex of Baby Mak #3 tomorrow.  All four of us will attend the ultrasound.  Henry loves seeing the baby on the "tv."  He said that he would like a sister, but he predicted that this baby is a boy.  He also requested that we name him, "Diesel."  Ask John about the baby and he'll point to the baby on the yogurt carton, so he's no help.  Gus has no prediction either.  I predict a boy because this pregnancy has been very similar to my other two - my symptoms, my bump, my cravings, and my aversions have been exactly the same. We'll see soon enough!

Here is Baby Mak #3 at 15 weeks.  Get in your guess now!

Go Cougars!

Henry is playing soccer on our church's team, the Holy Spirit Prep Cougars (raarrr!).  He had his first practice last weekend.  Henry was the boy with the flat soccer ball (long story, but it's my fault).  That's okay.  He had fun.  And in any case, I'm fairly certain Henry and his buddies thought snack time was the highlight of the day.

Back to the Lake

We spent Labor Day weekend at Colin's lakehouse on Lake Lanier. We went last year, too, and Henry hopes it becomes a yearly tradition. All four boys enjoyed swimming in the lake and taking boat rides, especially John, who almost settled into a nap each time we set sail. That is, until the big boys started screaming and crying because floating in the big tube was "too scary" (Daddy quickly came to their rescue).

Henry's favorite part of the weekend was sharing a room with Colin. They slept side by side in trundle beds. We had to go in there three times before they finally went to sleep. We are so thankful for these friends of ours.
