Chicago, Chicago that toddlin' town!

Last weekend we traveled to Chicago for the baptism of our niece, Ella. I was excited for Henry's first plane ride; the passengers sitting near us were not (especially after a six hour delay). Little did they know they were sitting next to the perfect child. Henry slept the duration of the flight.

On Saturday morning, we enjoyed a lovely family breakfast and stroll around downtown. Later that afternoon, we introduced Henry to some of our friends. We celebrated Ella's first birthday that evening. Ella was kind enough to share her favorite chicken toy with Henry, and Henry returned the favor by sharing his bib with Ella.

On Sunday, we took a trip to our old neighborhood for brunch at Angelina with an old friend. Angelina was a favorite date spot when we lived in Chicago, so it was fun to return with the newest man in my life. Ella's baptism was that afternoon. She looked darling, and I am honored to be her Godmother. Henry wore a seersucker bubble that Grandma Makris gave him just for the occasion. Afterwards, we celebrated with lunch, cake, presents, and a very exciting annoucement: Chris and Stacie will be moving to Atlanta in November! We couldn't be happier!

"And for my next trick...

...I will roll over while shoving my entire hand in my mouth!"

Yesterday Henry rolled over for the first time, and I just so happened to have my iPhone on hand (sorry for the low picture quality). He was stuck for a moment with his right arm pinned down, but he figured it out. Once he made the full roll, I started my obnoxious hootin' and hollerin'. Henry gave me a look like, "What's the big deal, Mama?"

Just another day at the office.

Henry has been busy working on many projects. He loves to sit up with the help of his Bumbo chair and look at the world around him, rather than laying on his back and staring at the ceiling. He has also learned how to blow spit bubbles and how much fun it is to chew on toys. I figured that since he's been working so hard, he should start putting on a tie every morning just like his Dad. His baby friends are so impressed with his business attire.
