Thanksgiving 2013

We celebrated Thanksgiving in middle Georgia at Aunt Mary and Uncle Bobby's house. The boys read books, ran around, and ate. And then they ate dessert. Henry thought he won the lottery with Nanna's candy covered, turkey-shaped cookies. And John took down a slab of chocolate cake intended for a grown man.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

I sing.  I don't know the words or the melody, but I sing to the boys.  My go-to song is, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."  I sing it to them when they're sick, sad, or in need of a snuggle.  Henry rarely sings.  So when I heard him singing recently, I had to act fast.  He refused to sing alone again, so here is our duet.

Our Weekend with Papa, Mimi, and Zia

We welcomed another set of grandparents (and a Zia) a couple weeks ago.  The boys love having visitors, especially visitors who love to read books and play trains.  So we did just that at home and at the train museum.  Henry sat through a 30 minute movie about a great train race between the General and the Texas trains.  Then he came home and requested we play "The General and the Texas" for the rest of the day.  Later that evening, we celebrated Papa's 60th birthday with his favorite "fish" cake.  And then we ended the weekend with a fun day at our favorite park.  The boys are already asking who is coming to visit next weekend.

Our Weekend with Grandma and Papou

Grandma and Papou came on down for a visit last weekend.  The weather was beautiful, so we visited a few parks.  The boys ran and climbed and jumped and played until they were tired and hungry.  We welcomed the long naps and they welcomed the chocolate cake from OK Cafe.  Thanks for a wonderful visit, Grandma and Papou!  Y'all come back now, ya hear!
