We spent last week on Hilton Head Island with Nanna and Pa. All three boys swam like fish. By the end of the week, Henry was swimming across the entire pool, and John was jumping in the waves with Daddy. And Peter had his first taste of sand. The boys even took an impromptu ocean swim in their skivvies one evening. It was impossible to keep them out of the water.
When they weren't swimming, the boys were biking, flying kites, eating, reading books, building sandcastles, and playing trains/cars/planes. Fun is tiring, so they took good naps, too.
One day Henry found a starfish on the beach. I asked him if he wanted to keep it. "No," he said, "his mama will miss him too much, so I am going to throw him back in the ocean."
