A Very Makris Christmas

We spent the first part of our trip to Michigan with the Makris family. Everyone was home for the holidays, so we were all able to celebrate at Mom and Dad's new house. We stuck to our usual Christmas Eve traditions - hockey with friends in the morning and mass with family in the evening. The kids were not big fans of the cold ice rink, but they did behave during mass. Frances did try to steal Baby Jesus from the manger, but then the donkey distracted her.

Christmas morning with 9 kids under the age of 9 is loud, fun, and full of sugar! Henry and John received lego sets and spent the rest of the day building. Peter received some super hero toys and spent the day playing with his cousin, George. And Frances received a doll house and princess toy, which she did not let out of her sight for the entire day. Later that morning, we played a few games, ate a delicious brunch, and shared a lot of laughs. And we let the kids stay in their pajamas for the entire day.  To top it off, Michigan gave us a White Christmas! But we could have done without the single digit temps. Brrrr.
