Peter is 4 years old!

Happy 4th Birthday, Peter Augustus! You love books, puzzles, Legos, and board games. You write your name on everything, and you ask for "homework" so that you can be just like your big brothers. You have the biggest heart, and nothing makes you happier than a hug. While I was taking your photos, you asked for a photo with Woody and Buzz. Then you said, "and one with you, Mama, because you're my best friend too."

Peter's 4th Birthday

Peter is (almost) four! We celebrated his birthday a little early this weekend with all of his favorite things: sprinkle pancakes, cowboy hats, Catch Air, Chick-fil-A, and a monster truck, monster sized chocolate cake (that yours truly didn't finish icing until after midnight as usual). At the end of the day, Peter said, "Mama, I love you. And I love my birthday even more."

Valentine's Day

Back to the Barrel for our 16th consecutive Valentine's Day dinner! We celebrated earlier this week since Cracker Barrel isn't exactly a good meal on Ash Wednesday.  And it also happens to be "Healthy Habits Week" at school. But we are raising them right, and we are very supportive of the fact that Cracker Barrel claims mac-n-cheese is a vegetable.

Our Overdue 5th Child

We have been in the apartment for nine months, which as I know, is about how long it takes to have a baby. Just a couple more weeks. Come on, baby!

A Baptism in Baton Rouge

I spent my weekend with the wonderful Whatley family, as we baptized my Godson.  Sweet Baby James, you are a gift and totally worth the risk of influenza A.

Here's to 100 S'more Days!

John specifically picked this theme for his 100th day of school project so he could eat the leftover supplies.  Also, here's to no s'more darn snow days! (We haven't had a full week of school since November, thanks to some crazy snow storms in Georgia.)
