That one time that we went to the beach, and I said, "Hey kids, let's put on nice clothes and go take some pictures at sunset!", and no one cried about it.
Happy Halloween from Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, Superman, and Harry Potter! I did have to tell Peter that he wasn't really allowed to bite Frances. Henry and John might be too cool for coordinating costumes, but they still insisted on their own photos with Frances - "Why does Peter get to be in all the photos with her?" And all Frances cared about was the candy.
Looking forward to the day when they scoop our their own pumpkin guts. Then again, when that day comes, they probably won't be wearing matching Halloween pajamas, so I won't complain.
We made our annual trek to our favorite Pumpkin Patch in the middle of nowhere. It was a perfect fall day, and it was actually under 70 degrees this year. Everyone knew exactly the type of pumpkin they wanted, and they picked their pumpkins quickly this year. Frances did try to pick a gourd at first, but I convinced her that would not be fun to carve. She was very interested in the animals this year. The boys held their noses and ran in opposite direction. Everyone enjoyed the hayride through the farm. And we ended our day with a picnic lunch in the barn.
