A Rainy 4th

This 4th of July meant flash floods, not fireworks. It rained and rained and rained. So we made the most of it by spending the day in our pajamas and baking red velvet cookies. John helped by banging on a bowl (and looking too cute while doing it).

We spent the evening with friends who were nice enough to host an indoor BBQ after the rain washed out everyone's fireworks plans. Later, the dads braved the rain to set off a couple Costco fireworks for the boys. And to the boys, it was as big and beautiful as the Macy's NYC fireworks.

    Henry and John's smiles say it all. You're doing the most wonderful job of raising your sons. Looks like a great time was had by all topped off with a barbecue AND Fireworks.
