Happy Easter!

We enjoyed a low-key Easter celebration at home this year. That's what happens when you have a two week old. It was still darling to see the boys in their matching Easter shirts. They had fun opening their Easter baskets from Papa, Mimi, and Zia (well, Henry did). My favorite part of our low-key Easter celebration was watching Henry hold Bebe John's hand. Sweet boys, indeed.

The Big Truck comes to Georgia!

A few weeks ago we told Henry that after his baby brother was born, Papa, Mimi, and Zia-Zia would visit in Papa's big truck. We have talked about Papa's big truck everyday since. Henry was thrilled when that big truck pulled into our driveway last week, and we were quite relieved to have some help (pampering, really). They made delicious meals, entertained Henry, allowed us to sleep in, cleaned house, rocked John to sleep - in short, we were spoiled.

Henry spent lots of time with Papa, Mimi, and Zia-Zia. He went to the park everyday - walks, swings, slides, caterpillars. He had fun. Henry made cookies with Zia, then ate cookies with Zia. Ice cream, too. He loved that. While Henry was busy with his daily activities, John slept a lot and enjoyed some fresh air in the backyard.

On the very last day of their trip, we had a Thomas the Train (early) birthday party for Henry. Uncle Chris, Aunt Stacie, and Baby George came over for the celebration, too. Henry was given a Thomas the Train book and a Thomas the Train (train). The birthday boy enjoyed the pizza and cupcakes, too.

It was a wonderful week, and the four of us already miss that big truck parked in our driveway!

Mo' Makris Men

Henry and John are very fortunate to have cousin George living 20 minutes away. With three Makris boys within two years of each other (or in John and George's case, two and a half months), family gatherings may be rowdy, loud, and messy. Who could ask for more?

*I need to point out that the black and blue marks on Henry's arms are not bruises. They are the result of an incident that involved a birthday party, a stamp pad, and a Grandma who didn't know any better when it comes to two year old's and stamp pads. You need not contact child protective services. I promise.
