Peter's 2nd Birthday

Peter woke up with a cold on the morning of his 2nd birthday. His eyes were puffy and his nose was runny, but he saw the Daniel Tiger balloons, hats, and plates and he forgot about being sick. We put 2 candles in his sprinkle pancakes and began to sing. Peter started to pout and cry. He didn't want any singing. He wanted those darn sprinkle pancakes already! He dug in and ate 5 pancakes. After breakfast, Peter and John attacked the balloons (and each other). Finally Frances woke up and joined the party. After a morning at the park, Peter's favorite lunch at home (a PB sandwich), and a long nap, we went out as family for dinner. Peter picked his favorite place - Chipotle. That boy loves a good quesadilla. After dinner, Peter opened his presents. Everything Daniel Tiger - books, puppets, and a moving, singing trolley that he wouldn't put down! We had to beg him to sit down for dessert. Once he saw the Daniel Tiger cupcakes and Sesame Street cookies, he obliged. He capped his birthday off with a bath, since he was covered in icing. And there's still more presents and treats to come when he and John have a joint birthday party in a couple weeks!
