November Traditions

Papa, Mimi, and Zia made their annual November visit last weekend. We did the "usual:" played trains in our pajamas, read lots of books, ran around the park, and enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner (Cousin George and his parents joined us for dinner, too).

We also celebrated Papa's birthday. Henry and I made him a homemade banana cake. When I asked Henry what we should write on the cake, Henry said, "Papa likes fish!" That is indeed true, so that is just what we did.

John discovered Papa's whiskers for the first time. He liked to grab them, but turned his head away from those scruffy kisses.

We had a wonderful weekend, which led to a difficult Monday, as the boys were quite sad to see them go. I had to give out lots of extra hugs that day, but now we're counting down the days until our trip to Michigan for Christmas!
