Henry and John awoke to crumbs on Santa's plate and toys beneath our tree. Santa brought Henry train tracks and a red train named 'James.' John received a drum filled with instruments. Also, they each received a gift from each other and three gifts from us (one for each wise man). John gave Henry two trains (brothers Bill and Ben), and Henry gave John a dolphin bath toy. Henry tore into the other gifts - trains, tools, books, and a Thomas the Train ornament. John tore into the other gifts too - a set of keys, an Elmo book, an inchworm toy, and an inchworm ornament. He spent most of his time trying to eat wrapping paper and boxes.
Special mornings call for a special breakfast. "Henry, would you like a cookie or a doughnut?" "Both, mama," replied the smart boy. John had 'puffs' at his special breakfast. The rate at which he shoved them into his mouth was exceeded only by the rate at which he spit them out and threw them on the floor. Note to self: John does not like puffs.
