We started the day with Daddy's favorite breakfast: scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, and dark coffee with heavy cream. Henry is really into singing the birthday song and blowing out candles, so we did that, too.
The boys and I spent the afternoon in the kitchen making gingerbread cookies for Santa (and us) to enjoy. John was our little sous chef, and he provided some very festive cookie cutter tasting. Henry looked the part in Grandma Longo's old apron, and he was a natural with Grandma DeGeorgeo's old rolling pin.
After dinner we sang and blew out candles again with Daddy. Daddy and I enjoyed my very first homemade strawberry cheesecake. Henry enjoyed a vanilla cupcake, decorated all by his big boy self. And John enjoyed chewing on his hands.
Before bed, we put out cookies for Santa and carrots for Rudolph. Henry had a hard time understanding why he couldn't eat Santa's cookies, and John kept trying to shove carrots in his mouth. We ended the night with a book, and anticipation for what the morning would bring.

And a WONDERFUL time was had by all....it's so heavenly. Thanks for bringing all of us into your lives.
